You may not know it but the Prichard / Murray Volunteer
Fire Department is not a tax funded agency like most fire
departments. Our service is funded completely by fundraisers
and donations. Without this support we could no longer provide
fire or emergency medical service.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

There are several ways that you can help our small fire department to
succeed in its mission.

DONATE YOUR TIME
We are always looking for people to help out in all sorts of ways. We need
folks who can help organize fundraisers, work on Department vehicles, do
building maintenance and construction, cook for special events and long
emergencies, do paperwork as well as respond to emergencies. If you think
you want to help in any of these ways (or others) click on the "Volunteer"
button on the left.

DONATE / SPONSOR EQUIPMENT
We maintain a list of items that our Department is looking for. Some of
these are fire, rescue and EMS related but others are everyday items that we
have need of. To check our list to see if you can help click on "Needed Items"
button at the bottom of this page. If you don't have an item but want to
donate the purchase of one contact us and we can help arrange a vendor to
assist you.
